This project involves a multi-faceted repair to address damage caused by falling tree branches. The primary technical focus is a structural puncture repair involving the removal of compromised material under the existing tarp, the replacement of penetrated OSB decking, and the installation of a reinforced layering system including new felt paper and GAF Timberline shingles in Weathered Wood. Additionally, the crew will replace damaged ridge vents and ridge shingles to ensure the ventilation system is once again watertight and functional.
The scope also includes a significant aesthetic and functional upgrade to the chimney system:
- Chimney Hardware: Complete removal and replacement of the Chimney Shroud (Black).
- Refurbishment: Professional painting of the chimney cap and pan in a matching Black finish to prevent corrosion and enhance curb appeal.
- Waterproofing: Application of ice and water shields around all valleys, chimneys, and roof penetrations.
Site Management & Protection:
- Property Shielding: Comprehensive protection of all landscaping, decks, pools, and A/C units is mandatory throughout the day.
- Safety & Logistics: A Dump Trailer is required for efficient debris removal. The crew must utilize ladder stabilizers to protect the gutter line and is strictly prohibited from parking on any grass surfaces.
- Exhaustive Cleanup: The project concludes with a “white-glove” remediation, including blowing out all gutters and window seals, removing tar or scuff marks, and a thorough magnetic sweep for nails across all driveways, walkways, and landscaping.
- Inventory: Please leave exactly three squares of shingles on the pallet for the homeowner.
