The crew is tasked with a detailed inspection of the decking and flashing on the existing chimney cricket to ensure proper water diversion. A critical requirement for this project is providing photographic or physical proof of Ice & Water shield installation in all valleys to facilitate the insurance PWI (Progressive Warranty Inspection) release.
To maintain the high standards of the Brentwood property, the following site-management protocols are in effect:
- Deck & Property Protection: The back deck is a high-sensitivity area; the crew must lay tarps immediately and keep all pool and spa equipment covered throughout the workday.
- Waterproofing Standards: Beyond the valleys, Ice & Water shields must be applied to all roof-to-wall transitions, chimneys, and roof penetrations, followed by the installation of ridge vents on all ridges.
- Safety & Logistics: A Dump Trailer is mandatory. The crew must wear plain shirts, utilize ladder stabilizers, and avoid parking on the grass to prevent lawn damage.
- Detailed Remediation: Given the client’s request for an “extra thorough” cleanup, multiple magnet sweeps are required across the landscaping, driveways, and sidewalks.
- Final Walkthrough: The job is not complete until gutters are blown out, window seals and hardscapes are cleared of debris, and any tar or scuff marks are cleaned from the home’s exterior.
