This project focuses on a high-precision roof replacement with significant structural modifications. The primary technical challenge involves the installation and relocation of two 2’x2′ skylights. This requires the construction of custom curbs and the strategic relocation of one skylight away from the roof valley to eliminate long-term leak risks. Because this task affects the home’s envelope, an interior crew is required to meticulously protect the home’s living space before removal and during the framing phase.
Additionally, the crew will manage the reset of the homeowner’s TV antenna. This task requires direct coordination with the homeowner and the client’s specialist (Kurt the “TV guy”) to ensure all media connections are restored to full functionality.
Site Management & Compliance:
- Structural & Hardware Restoration: Application of high-performance Ice and Water shields at all valleys, chimneys, and roof-to-wall transitions, followed by a full ridge vent installation.
- Property Shielding: Rigorous protection of the driveway and all surrounding landscaping, decks, and A/C units. Ladder stabilizers are mandatory to prevent structural damage to the home’s exterior.
- Logistics & Presentation: A Dump Trailer is required for all debris management. Crew members must wear plain shirts and are strictly prohibited from parking on the grass.
- Exhaustive Remediation: The project concludes with a “white-glove” cleanup, including blowing out all gutters and window seals. Any tar or scuff marks must be cleaned from the home and driveways.
- Safety Sweep: Multiple magnetic roller passes are mandatory across all driveways, sidewalks, and landscaped areas to ensure a 100% nail-free environment.
- Inventory: Please leave exactly three squares of shingles on the pallet for the homeowner.
